Indian batter KL Rahul has started his preparations for the West Indies series and was seen hitting the ground and sweating it out at National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru on Wednesday (20th July).
Rahul suffered a groin injury ahead of the T20I series against South Africa which ruled him out of all the games. He was supposed to lead India in that series but his injury forced him to sit out.
Things got even worse for him when Rahul was ruled out of the rescheduled Test against England followed by the white-ball games. The batter in the meantime underwent a successful groin surgery.
He has now been named in the squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series against West Indies but he will only be available if he manages to pass the fitness test.
With just a few days remaining for the start of the T20I series against the West Indies, Rahul has kick-started his preparations. Earlier he was spotted batting at the nets at NCA and battling against India women seamer Jhulan Goswami.
In the latest video posted on his Instagram account, Rahul can be seen running on the ground and hitting the gym hard. He captioned the video: “Hustle SZN.”
