In what will be the biggest positive for Team India, star batter KL Rahul has started his preparations for the West Indies tour and was seen hitting the nets. Rahul suffered a groin injury ahead of the T20I series against South Africa which ruled him out of all the games.

He was supposed to lead India in that series but his injury forced him to sit out.

Things got even worse for him when Rahul was ruled out of the rescheduled Test against England followed by the white-ball games. The batter in the meantime went a successful groin surgery.

He has now been named in the squad for the five-match T20I series against West Indies but he will only be available if he manages to pass the fitness test.

With just a few days remaining for the start of the T20I series against West Indies, Rahul has kick-started his preparations as he has started his batting practice and was recently spotted putting hard yards in the nets at NCA.

In the video posted by a fan on Twitter, Rahul can be seen taking his batting stance and checking his drives. Him batting in the nets could be a hint that he’s likely to pass the fitness test and don the Indian colours yet again.
