Following
England's comprehensive win against South Africa, at Headingly, in the First
ODI of the series, we look ahead to the Second ODIÂ on Saturday. Eoin
Morgan hit an impressive century while Moeen Ali thumped a quick fire 77 and
picked two wickets (and the Man of the Match) as England went 1-0 up in the
series following their 72-run victory in the first One-Day International against
South Africa at Headingly. With England in this sort of form, they will be
favorites to win the Second ODI and with it the series.
         Best
economical pick - The South African All Rounder Andile
Phehlukwayo had the well settled Alex Hales edging to de Kock before
grabbing the all-important wicket of Joe Root with a bouncer. His figures after
his first four overs read 4-0-16-2. Although he took a bit of stick towards the
end, Phehlukwayo showed that he can do a good job as a bowler.
         Top
captains & vice captains - The England Captain Eoin Morgan is
building up some cracking form ahead of the Champions Trophy and smashed his
third hundred in eight games. Morgan was aggressive right from the outset
and never let the Proteas pacers settle into a rhythm. The manner in which he
took on the bouncers showed the kind of touch the skipper was in. Even when
Stokes and Buttler were dismissed in quick succession, Morgan kept England
going in the company of Moeen Ali. Their partnership was worth 117 in 13
overs and took England well past the 300 mark. The Proteas skipper AB
de Villiers looked in ominous touch as he took on Adil Rashid and
Moeen Ali. He was tactical in his approach and ensured the required rate did not
climb too much. AB de Villiers battled gamely for 45 off 38 balls but with
partners running out had no choice but to take the attack to England and picked
out Plunkett in the deep off Moeen.
         Smart
pick - Man of the match Moeen Ali smashed an unbeaten
77 off just 51 balls and picked up two wickets - including the prized one of AB
de Villiers - as England defeated South Africa by 72 runs in the opening One
Day International at Headingly. The English all-rounder came to the wicket at
198-5 in the 35th over and helped England to 339-6 by the end of their innings.
         Cautions
Pick - The South African Spin All Rounder JP Duminy again
failed to perform in another match. He scored just 15 runs off 18 balls when
his team needed a partnership with the settled batsman AB de Villiers. He also
went wicket less in his 6 overs spell so pick him in your team at your own
risk.

AB de Villiers (Vice-Captain), Andile Phehlukwayo,
Moeen Ali, Hashim Amla, Kagiso Rabada, Mark
