Players to top the ICC Test and ODI batting rankings at the same time

Virat Kohli became the second Indian player after Sachin Tendulkar to top the both ICC Test and ODI rankings at the same time.

Indian captain Virat Kohli after his brilliant performance in the first Test against England leapfrogged Steve Smith to become the number one batsman in the world. He is the seventh Indian batsman and first since Sachin Tendulkar in June 2011 to achieve this feat.

He was already at the top of the ICC ODI batsmen rankings and now became the number one in Tests as well. Kohli also became the tenth player ever to top the both ICC Test and ODI rankings at the same time. Here is the list of all the 10 players who have topped both the ICC Test and ODI rankings at the same time.

Players who topped both ICC Test and ODI rankings at the same time :

Australia's Keith Stackpole was the first ever batsman to top both the ICC Test and ODI rankings at the same time. He achieved this milestone in August 1972.
