Australia captain Pat Cummins completed perhaps one of the best caught and bowled catches in the ongoing second Test against West Indies in Grenada. Australia had batted first after winning the toss.
Thanks to half-centuries by Alex Carey and Beau Webster, Australia posted 286 runs. For the West Indies, Alzarri Joseph took 4 wickets.
In response, Josh Hazlewood removed Kraigg Brathwaite for a duck, who was playing his 100th Test. Then Pat Cummins came on and got rid of Keacy Carty for 6 runs, by taking an amazing diving catch of his own bowling.
The incident happened in the 9th over of the Windies innings. Pat Cummins delivered Carty a length delivery on the second ball of the over, which nipped back into the right-hander. The ball landed in front of the short square mid-wicket position after the West Indies batsman pushed forward with his bat away from his pad and gained a thick inside edge.
When Cummins saw the ball in the air, he immediately shifted course, ran to his right, lunged forward, and pouched an incredible one-handed catch just inches above the ground to get rid of Carty for six runs off of twelve balls.
