In Lucknow on Sunday, Indian cricketer Rinku Singh and Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj formally became engaged. Some of the most well-known figures in politics and cricket attended the couple's engagement ceremony.
Due to cricketing obligations, Rinku, who plays for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL and the Indian cricket team in the T20I format, was unable to attend the ceremony with many of his international teammates.
Social media has seen some stunning images and videos of Priya and Rinku showing off their engagement rings.

Rinku scored 206 runs at an average of 29.42 and a strike rate of 153.73 during his mediocre IPL 2025 stint with KKR. The Knight Riders had a lackluster season, winning only five of their fourteen games and finishing eighth in the standings with 12 points and a net run rate of -0.305.
Rinku Singh has amassed 507 runs at an average of 46.09 and a strike rate of 165.14 in 30 T20Is for India, including three half-centuries.
