The PSL 2025 match between Multan Sultans and Islamabad United heated up after Colin Munro and Iftikhar Ahmed collided over Ahmed’s alleged throwing. The event occurred in the tenth over of Islamabad's chase of 169.

Iftikhar's yorker at Munro's toes elicited an uncharacteristically emotional response from the New Zealand batter.

Munro, who had done well to retrieve the delivery, turned to the bowler and motioned repeatedly, implying that Iftikhar had bent his elbow improperly while delivering the ball - a straightforward accusation of throwing.

His actions included faking a bent-arm bowling motion, clearly evident on the broadcast. Iftikhar was not pleased with the allegation. He walked directly up to the umpire, requesting clarity and apparently criticizing Munro's gesturing.

The umpires, Ahsan Raza and Chris Brown, stepped in, attempting to ease the situation before it went out of control. However, the animosity did not remain with the two players; several Multan Sultans players clustered behind Iftikhar, evidently upset by Munro's body language.

Pakistan captain and Multan skipper Mohammad Rizwan quickly jumped into the fray, confronting Munro in a video published by the PSL's official social media handle.
