Former Pakistan captain and ex-PCB chief Ramiz Raja made a huge blunder as he mentioned IPL during the presentation ceremony of the PSL 2025 match between Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars on Tuesday.
With the Pakistan Super League (PSL) running concurrently with the Indian Premier League (IPL), cricket fans have had enough of fodder to catch up on. Even former cricketers and journalists have been keeping watch on the action in both leagues.
Ramiz Raja, a former Pakistan cricketer, follows both competitions with avid interest. A side effect of such cricketing content was apparent when Ramiz unintentionally granted a player in the PSL an award for 'catch of the IPL'.
The former Pakistan captain invited Joshua Little to receive his 'Catch of the Match' award after the Multan Sultans' game against the Lahore Qalandars on Tuesday. Ramiz ended up naming it the 'Catch of the IPL' rather than the PSL.

The dignitaries present at the presentation ceremony were similarly taken aback by what Ramiz had said. A portion of Pakistani supporters has even demanded an apology from Ramiz for his gaffe, while some X users made fun of Ramiz Raja mentioning IPL.
