The Pakistan Super League (PSL 2025) got off to a blistering start as Karachi Kings, in their first match, chased down 234 runs against Multan Sultans on April 12.
Multan Sultans batted first after Karachi won the toss and posted 234/3 in 20 overs. Captain Mohammad Rizwan made 105* with 9 fours and 5 sixes, while Kamran Ghulam (36) and Michael Bracewell (44*) made good contributions.
In response, Tim Seifert (32) gave a good start, while James Vince (101 with 14 fours and 4 sixes) led the way. He got support from Khushdil Shah (60) as Karachi won the game by 4 wickets and 4 balls to spare.
James Vince was named the Player of the Match for his knock. However, this award proved to be nothing as he received a much special award from the Karachi Kings management in the dressing room.
Vince received the Dawlance 'Reliable Player of the Match' trophy in the locker room, along with a hair dryer.
The entire dressing room was in splits when Vince accepted the trophy, and they even ironically cheered for him. Vince smiled cheekily as he collected the medal.
