Tim Seifert of New Zealand impressed in the second T20I against Pakistan at Dunedin's University Oval, striking 45 runs off just 22 balls. He opened the batting for New Zealand and scored three fours and five sixes.
Pakistan batted first in the rain shortened game after New Zealand captain Michael Bracewell won the toss. Thanks to 46 by Salman Agha and 26 and 22 by Shadab Khan and Shaheen Afridi respectively, Pakistan posted 135/9 in 15 overs.
In response, apart from Seifert, Finn Allen (38) and Mitchell Hay (21*) shined with the bat as New Zealand achieved the target in 13.1 overs and won the game by 5 wickets.
The star for New Zealand was Tim Seifert who was ruthless against Pakistan bowlers. He was particularly cruel on Shaheen Afridi as he smashed 4 huge sixes in one over from the premier pace bowler from Pakistan.
Seifert faced six consecutive dot balls in his first over before unleashing an attack on Shaheen Afridi in his second over. He scored two big sixes off the opening two deliveries, followed by two runs on the fourth.
The over ended with Seifert blasting two more sixes off the closing pitches. His aggressive hitting helped New Zealand score 26 runs from that over, with four sixes in all.
