Sachin Tendulkar turned back the clock with his amazing strokeplay for India Masters as they defeated the West Indies to win the inaugural International Masters League (IML 2025) title.
The final between India and West Indies was played on Sunday, March 16, at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, in Raipur.
Lendl Simmons’ 57 and Dwayne Smith’s 48 took West Indies Masters to 148/7 in 20 overs. Vinay Kumar took 3 wickets while Shabaz Nadeem took 2 scalps.
In response, Sachin Tendulkar made 25 in 18 balls and added 67 runs for the opening wicket with Ambati Rayudu, who made 74 in 50 balls. India won the match by 6 wickets in the end.
During his knock, Sachin Tendulkar hit Jerome Taylor for an uppercut that went for a six and reminded die-hard Tendulkar fans of the six he had hit in the 2003 World Cup match against Pakistan to Waqar Younis.

Tendulkar demonstrated his batting prowess during the competition, amassing 181 runs in six matches with an average of 30.16 and a strike rate of 153.38, including one half-century. His high score was 64.
Several India Masters players gave excellent performances throughout the tournament. Ambati Rayadu scored 188 runs in five innings, including two fifties, with a strike rate of 142.42 and an average of 47.00.
Yuvraj Singh scored 179 runs in five innings, with an average of 179.00 and a strike rate of 184.53, including fifty and three wickets. Stuart Binny scored 122 runs in four innings, averaging 40.66 with a strike rate of 187.69 and a half-century.
Irfan Pathan scored 113 runs in five matches at an average of 56.50 and a strike rate of 185.24, with one half-century and six wickets. Pawan Negi led the bowling attack with nine wickets in six matches at an average of 15.66, while Vinay Kumar got eight wickets in five matches at an average of 23.62.
