Mohammad Shami, India’s premier pacer, has shared a video on his social media in which he is seen bowling in nets with full gusto. This showcased his fitness as he stakes claim for a place in the Indian squad for the England series and the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Shami's absence was notable during the recently finished Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) in Australia, but he now looks ready to return to the Indian team.
Shami released a video of himself bowling in the nets, which shows him delivering the ball quickly and precisely.
As the Indian squad for the England series and the ICC Champions Trophy is reportedly due to be picked on January 12, Mohammad Shami’s 27-second video clip, in which he bowled thunderbolts in the nets with flawless accuracy and fiery intent, shows he is more than ready to return in India colors.
"Precision, Pace, and Passion, All Set to Take on the World!" Shami’s video was captioned.
Shami had undergone ankle surgery after the ICC World Cup 2023 and after a year out of the game, he returned to action for Bengal in Ranji Trophy 2024-25. He was supposed to make his return to Indian team for Australia Test tour, but suffered from swelling in his knees and was ruled out of the BGT 2024-25.
