MS Dhoni, former India captain, has never been a fan of social media, despite having accounts on both X and Instagram. He seldom uses those accounts and if he does, they are either random posts or photos of family and farm.

However, famous India skipper MS Dhoni, famed for his calm attitude and simple approach, does not appear to be a huge lover of social media, having professed his disinterest in the medium.

Reflecting on his journey since making his debut in 2004, Dhoni explained how his managers often suggested leveraging social media for public relations.

"I have never been a big fan of Social Media - throughout I have had different managers - I started playing in 2004, Twitter (Now X) almost got popular slightly later on then Instagram came - all the managers are like we should some PR, build this, build that so I looked at all and told the same answer, if I play good cricket, I don't need PR," Dhoni said on the latest episode of 'Tread Talks' of EuroGrip Tyres.

In the same interview, Dhoni revealed the one thing he would never do with Suresh Raina, a longstanding buddy and teammate from both the Indian team and the Chennai Super Kings.

Dhoni stated that he would never choose Raina as his pillion rider on a bike because he cannot sit still and will start moving, especially when he sees a truck on the road.

"In the sense, you know, to put it very simply, in a motorcycle, unlike a car, you know, whether it's your fault or not, if there's an accident or if you fall, you will get hurt and most of the athletes, they are very worried about their joints, especially knees, and elbows.

"Most of the players, they stay away from it. But people who have sat with me on a bike and we have been on a ride, I can pick one who I would not, you know, take as a companion and that would be Suresh Raina because, you know, he starts moving. So, if he sees a truck, you know, getting close, he starts to move along," he added.

MS Dhoni will be seen in action in IPL 2025 after he was retained by CSK as an uncapped player before the mega auction.
