Faf du Plessis, who is currently playing in the Abu Dhabi T10 League, almost suffered an injury after a ball boy suplexed him over the advertising boards.
In a match between Du Plessis’ team, Morrison Samp Army, and the Delhi Bulls, the Bulls were trying to chase down 113 in their allotted 10 overs.
Tim David smacked Isuru Udana towards extra cover and Du Plessis attempted to chase the ball down. However, he failed to keep the ball from reaching the boundary ropes. A ball boy was eagerly waiting for the ball to come to him and became a hindrance for Du Plessis, whose momentum was taking him towards the boundary boards.
The ball boy ducked and in order to keep colliding into him, Du Plessis tried to vault over his body. However, the boy stood up at the unfortunate moment and suplexed Du Plessis over the boundary boards in WWE style.
Luckily for Du Plessis, he avoided the hoardings and fell over on the other side. He seemed stunned for a few moments as a staff came to check on him. He seemed angry a bit at the ball boy for the risk that he had placed both individuals in.
Captured video of the event shows Du Plessis recovering from his fall and, happily, making his way back onto the pitch, looking daggers at the ball boy.
