Glenn Phillips' incredible catch | ScreengrabNew Zealand’s Glenn Phillips on Friday (November 29) gave another glimpse of why he is regarded as one of the best fielders in the world.

During the second day of the first Test against England in Christchurch, Phillips pulled off a blinder to dismiss Ollie Pope.

Having added 151 runs for the fifth wicket, the duo of Pope and Harry Brook were threatening to take the game away from the Kiwis. At this point, Phillips produced an incredible fielding effort to break the partnership.

As Ollie Pope played a fierce cut shot against New Zealand pacer Tim Southee, Glenn Phillips, who was stationed at gully, flew like a bird to his right to pluck a one-handed screamer.

Here’s the video:

Coming to the match, England finished the second day on 319/5, trailing the Kiwis by 29 runs. Harry Brook (132*) and skipper Ben Stokes (37*) were the two unbeaten batters in the middle.

Nathan Smith claimed two wickets for the hosts before the close of play on Day 2 while Southee, Matt Henry and William Orourke returned with one scalp each.
