WATCH- Haryana’s Anshul Kamboj takes 10/49 against Kerala; becomes 3rd bowler in Ranji Trophy to take 10 wickets in an innings

Anshul Kamboj is the sixth Indian bowler in FC cricket to take all 10 wickets in an innings.

Anshul Kamboj | BCCI XHaryana pacer Anshul Kamboj entered the record books on Friday as he became only the third bowler in Ranji Trophy to claim all 10 wickets in an innings.

Bowling against Kerala on Day 3 of the fifth-round clash in Lahli, Kamboj razed through the entire Kerala top-order, dismissing each of the four half-centurions by tea, before achieving the milestone. In the process, Kamboj also went past 50 First-Class wickets in his 19th appearance.

Kamboj had gone to stumps with 8 wickets to his name. On the next morning, Kamboj had clean bowled Basil Thampi for his ninth wicket and completed his milestone 10th wicket by dismissing Shoun Roger, bundling Kerala for 291 in the first innings.

After Pradeep Sunderam and Premangsu Mohan Chatterjee, Kamboj is just the third bowler in Ranji history to take all ten wickets in an innings.  

Sunderam took all ten wickets in an innings for Rajasthan in a match against Vidarbha in the 1985–86 season, while Chatterjee was the first bowler to accomplish the feat for Bengal in the 1956–57 season.

Kamboj had started his FC season on a similar note in Duleep Trophy, when he took an eight-wicket haul, becoming only the third pacer behind Mohanty (10/46) and Ashoke Dinda (8/123) to do so.

Kamboj has 23 wickets from 15 List-A games to his name. Before making his IPL debut with Mumbai Indians in 2024, Kamboj had featured in only nine T20 matches.
