Legendary Pakistan cricketer Wasim Akram narrated a hilarious story about his cat getting an AUD 1000 haircut and what a poor job the groomers did that left his fellow commentators in laughing hysteria after seeing the result of the haircut.
This happened during the third and final ODI between Australia and Pakistan in Perth and Wasim Akram was commentating and revealed how his wife Shaniera was charged 1000 Australian dollars for the cat's haircut.
"I had a cat haircut yesterday. I had to pay 1000 dollars for it. They had to sedate the cat, they had to keep the cat, and they had to feed the cat. I said I would have bought 200 cats in Pakistan for that money, said Akram on air.
After initially believing that the pace great was exaggerating, the other pundits were completely taken aback by Akram's story.
His fellow commentators, however, were shocked when Akram revealed the haircut receipt. They all laughed heartily when they told Akram that he had been "ripped off."
The fellow commentators then shared the breakdown of the invoice had AUD105 for a medical check-up, AUD305 for anesthesia, and AUD40 for the haircut. There were additional charges of AUD120 for post-procedure care and AUD251 for a cardio test of the cat.
Wasim Akram also shared a photo of the cat revealing how good the feline looked before the haircut and how poor its fur looked as the result of the AUD 1000 styling.
