Rahul Dravid, India batting legend and head coach of Rajasthan Royals, was seen in attendance at the Rajasthan Royals Cricket Cup 2024 - Inter-School Competition for U-19 Girls.
The tournament which is one of India’s largest inter-school competitions for girls, featured over 1400 girls. Team Bikaner took home a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, while Kota bagged Rs 50,000 for being the runners-up.
Along with it, according to their Pink Promise, the Royal Rajasthan Foundation will light up 91 homes over the course of the upcoming year to equal the 91 boundaries that were hit in the championship game.
Rajasthan Royals head coach Rahul Dravid also shared his thoughts on the event.
“Seeing these young girls play with such passion and determination is a reminder of the bright future of women’s cricket in India. Tournaments like the Royals Cricket Cup not only provide exposure but also instill confidence in these athletes to dream big. Congratulations to the champions and all the teams for their hard work and spirit," Dravid said.
Not only this, but Rahul Dravid also batted against some of the girls and was left in disbelief after he was beaten with excellent deliveries by some of the female bowlers.
