Virat Kohli enjoys a massive fan following across the globe but in India, his homeland, the star batter’s popularity is on a different level.
The glimpse of Kohli’s fan following was recently witnessed in a viral video on social media. In the clip, one female fan was seen grabbing his arm to click a selfie.
The brief interaction quickly went viral, adding to Kohli’s long list of fan encounters that showcased his approachable nature despite his superstar status.
This public appearance of Kohli came just a couple of days after he celebrated his 36th birthday, which he described as a “chilled-out” occasion spent with his wife, Anushka Sharma, and their two children.
"This was probably the most chilled-out birthday I've had through all these years. It was just Anushka (Sharma) and our two kids at home. It was very relaxed. The birthday was basically for my daughter. Happens so when you have kids. I don't know about being wiser, but I'm older for sure," Kohli said while speaking at an event in Mumbai.
Virat Kohli will next be seen in action when the Indian team takes on Australia in a five-Test series, starting on November 22 in Perth.
Kohli will look to turn things around on the tour of Australia after enduring failure in the recently held home Test against New Zealand. The right-hander amassed only 93 runs at an average of 15.50 as India lost the series 3-0.
