Virat Kohli, one of the modern greats of cricket, will celebrate his 36th birthday on November 5, 2024. Along with Steve Smith, Kane Williamson, and Joe Root, he is considered to be one of the Fab Four of modern cricket.
Meanwhile, Kohli came off a disappointing outing in the three-Test series against New Zealand: India lost 0-3. Kohli made one half-century and accumulated just 91 runs in the six innings in the Test series.
Despite India winning the 2024 T20 World Cup, this year hasn't been the best for Kohli in terms of form or personal achievements.
The famous batter has battled for runs in any style he has played. Even in the T20 World Cup, Kohli struggled to step up, except in the final against South Africa.
He will next be seen in action for the Indian team in the all-important five-Test series against Australia down under. India needs to win this Test series 4-0 or 5-0 to qualify for the WTC 2025 final without having to worry about other results.
Kohli's love affair with Australia isn't hidden from any of his fans and everyone is hoping that Kohli will manage to put the poor run of form behind him and lead India from the front with the bat.
At the moment, Kohli has 9040 runs in 118 Tests with 29 centuries and an average of 47.83. In 295 ODIs, Kohli has made 13906 runs with 50 centuries and 72 fifties at an average of 58.18.
Kohli retired from T20Is after India’s T20 World Cup 2024 win and has 4188 runs in 125 T20Is with one century and an average of 46.69.
Today, as he celebrates his 36th birthday, the Indian cricket fraternity wished the talismanic batter on his special day.
