Pakistan completed a momentous achievement as they defeated England in the third and final Test in Rawalpindi to pocket the three-Test series 2-1. England had won the first Test in Multan and Pakistan leveled the series at the same venue in the second Test.

England won the toss and chose to bat first in the third Test in Rawalpindi and managed 267 runs on a turning track. Ben Duckett and Jamie Smith made fifties, while Sajid Khan took 6 wickets and Noman Ali took three.

Pakistan responded with 344 with Saud Shakeel scoring 134 and valuable contributions by Sajid Khan and Noman Ali with the bat. England was then bowled out for 112 in the second innings with Noman taking six and Sajid Khan taking 4 wickets.

Pakistan then chased down the 36-run target with 9 wickets in hand. This victory also handed them the Test series win by 2-1. Saud Shakeel won the Player of the Match for his century and Sajid Khan won the Player of the Series for his 19 wickets.

This was the first time since 2021, Pakistan won a Test series at home. This is only the second time Pakistan has won a 3-match Test series after losing the first Test after their win against Zimbabwe in 1995. This was the first Test series win for Pakistan against England since Nov 2015.

The cricket fraternity was all praises for Shan Masood and his Pakistan team as they broke the continuous run of losses in Tests at home.
