MS Dhoni, legendary India and Chennai Super Kings cricketer, has opened up about the viral ‘Thala for a reason’ memes. These memes have been used abundantly by fans of the cricketer on social media as they link anything and everything with MS Dhoni.

CSK has won the IPL title five times under Dhoni's captaincy, tying them with the Mumbai Indians for the league's most wins.

After winning their first title in 2010, CSK won again in 2011, making it back-to-back championship titles. CSK built on their legacy with titles in 2018, 2021, and 2023.

For the first time, the legendary Dhoni, who has led Chennai Super Kings to five IPL titles, responded to the 'Thala for a reason' meme in a viral video.

When asked if he knows the meme and the reason behind it, Dhoni said, "I do know, but I don’t know the reason behind it. I’m not sure whether it’s funny, meant to pull my leg, just banter, or a meme. But whatever it is, I think my fans have turned it into something positive for me. That’s what I feel."

"I’ve got brilliant fans. I don’t need to speak up or say anything; they’re the ones who step up if someone questions me. I’m just keeping quiet and enjoying my life. I try to play good cricket, and that’s what matters to me," Dhoni added.
