Pakistan’s Test head coach Jason Gillespie won hearts of the cricket fans with a humble gesture ahead of the series-deciding third Test against England, starting October 24 in Rawalpindi.
In a video doing rounds on social media, Gillespie was seen picking up all the empty bottles and putting them in a dustbin after the team's training session at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Tuesday (October 22).
Gillespie's act was lauded by the netizens, with many claiming that the empty bottles were thrown around by the Pakistan players, who left those as it is before exiting the training area.
England won the series opener by an innings and 47 runs in Multan, while Pakistan bounced back to register a comprehensive 152-run victory in the second Test at the same venue.
With the series currently posted at 1-1, the ground staff at the Rawalpindi stadium are doing everything possible to dry up the wicket as much as possible in order to help the Pakistan spinners.
Notably, the spin duo of Noman Ali and Sajid Khan wreaked havoc on the English batting line-up in the second Test, sharing all 20 wickets between them.
