Richa Ghosh took an excellent one-handed catch to dismiss Pak captain Fatima | InstagramRicha Ghosh took a stunning one-handed catch to dismiss Fatima Sana in the ongoing India v Pakistan match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. This match is being played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai on October 6.

Fatima Sana, Pakistan captain won the toss and chose to bat first. However, the Pakistan top-order succumbed to some good bowling by Indian bowlers. Gull Feroza (0), Sidra Amin (8), and Omaima Sohail (3) fell in quick succession.

Despite some good batting by Muneeba Ali (17), and Captain Fatima Sana (13), Pakistan slid to 76/7 in 16 overs at the time of writing this piece.

This included the wicket of captain Sana, who fell to an excellent catch by Richa Ghosh off Asha Sobhana.

On the last ball of the 14th over, Asha bowled a big turning leg-spinner on the off stump, and seeing the width, Fatima’s eyes lit up. She tried to go swat it over leg-side but only managed a thick outside edge that flew quickly to the right of keeper Richa Ghosh.

But she showed excellent reflexes and stuck her right hand out and the ball stuck in the mitts as Ghosh completed a stunning one-handed catch.
