Abhimanyu Easwaran was distraught after he missed a well-deserved double-century in the ongoing Irani Cup 2024 match against Mumbai. Playing for Rest of India (ROI), Easwaran was dismissed for 191 runs on the morning of the fourth day’s play of the match, which is taking place at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

Tanush Kotian nabbed the 29-year-old right-handed batter on the first ball of ROI's 103rd over. Before retiring to the pavilion, Easwaran faced 292 balls and scored 191 runs, including 16 fours and one six. He added 165 runs for the fifth wicket with Dhruv Jurel, who missed out on a well-deserved century.

After being out for 191 runs, Easwaran lost his calm and slammed his bat in despair. The footage of Easwaran's sorrowful reaction after being released is now going viral on the internet.

Here is the video:

Easwaran, who has yet to play for India, has been in excellent form recently. He made centuries in India B's last two Duleep Trophy matches, and he has now scored three figures in the one-off Irani Cup encounter.

Dhruv Jurel, ROI wicketkeeper-batter, scored 93 runs from 121 balls. He was dismissed by Mulani on the first ball of the 101st over. Mumbai wicketkeeper Hardik Tamore made an excellent catch of him to assist his team halt the huge partnership.
