WATCH- “Inko Babar, Babar karne do”- Sarfaraz Ahmed sledges Babar Azam; Babar replies with 104* helping Stallions win by 174 runs

Babar Azam's 104* took Stallions to 271/7, while Dolphins were bowled out for 97 runs.

Sarfaraz Ahmed and Babar Azam | XSarfaraz Ahmed, the mentor player of the Dolphins team in the ongoing Champions one-day Cup 2024 tournament, came in for some ruthless mocking. Sarfaraz tried trolling Stallions’s Babar Azam when he was batting.

The Saud Shakeel-led Dolphins got off to a good start in the seventh encounter of the domestic league, with current Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood and Yasir Khan putting on a 76-run opening stand against the Stallions, who were captained by Mohammad Haris.

Following the former's dismissal, Babar made his way to the crease, and the crowd at his home stadium in Faisalabad went crazy.

Meanwhile, in a bid to encourage his bowlers, Sarfaraz Ahmed, who was keeping wickets, told his bowlers to ignore the crowd chants for Babar Azam. Furthermore, he also stated that they should let Babar play out the 40 overs and get all the wickets at the other end.

"Jaldi nahi hai, jaldi nahi hai. Bas in logon ko bolo Babar Babar karte rahe, hum Babar ko 40 over khila denge. Shabash! Baaki saare out ho jaayenge (No hurry, no hurry. Just tell these guys to keep chanting Babar... Babar. We'll let Babar play for 40 overs and all others will get out.) Come on lads," Sarfaraz was heard on stump mic.

While the video of the incident went viral on social media, Babar Azam did play out the 40 overs and scored 104* in 100 balls, taking his team to 271/7 on a difficult pitch.

On the other hand, Sarfaraz Ahmed faced severe trolling as the Dolphins couldn’t even manage 100 runs as a team, getting bowled out for 97 runs and losing by 174 runs as Jahandad Khan and Mehran Mumtaz picked three wickets apiece for the Stallions.
