Pakistan batter Babar Azam looked in fine touch when Stallions faced Markhors in the Champions Cup match at the Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad on Sunday (September 15).

With the Stallions chasing 232 to win, Babar came to bat at No.3 and played his shots freely. Markhors pacer Shahnawaz Dahani was at the receiving end of his class.

During the eighth over of the chase, Babar took Dahani to the cleaners, hitting him for five consecutive boundaries.

After starting the over with a dot, Pakistan’s T20I skipper pulled the right-arm quick in front of square for a boundary and then glided one down to the third-man region for a four. Dahani dug in a short ball only to get hammered through point for another boundary. Thereafter, Babar collected his fourth four with a square drive. He finished off the over with another thunderous pull shot.

Despite being at the receiving end of Babar Azam’s assault, Shahnawaz Dahani posted an appreciation tweet for the star batter, which drew him plenty of flak from the fans.

"Just cannot stop watching this again & again. Don't think I would be able to sleep tonight. I just cannot understand, how Babar made it look so easy," Dahani wrote on X.

Dahani’s post came as a shock for many as the netizens questioned his 'self-respect' and trolled him mercilessly.

Here are the reactions:

Babar Azam went on to score 45 runs off 44 balls with eight boundaries. It seemed that the Stallions were well on their way to win the match but they collapsed and were bundled out for 105 in 23.4 overs, losing their last eight wickets for 26 runs in a space of 8.4 overs.
