Shreyas Iyer’s woes continue as he failed to take advantage in the second Duleep Trophy 2024 game as well. Shreyas Iyer is captaining the India D team against India A in Anantapur on Friday.
When his turn to bat came, Iyer stylishly entered the ground, sporting sunglasses under his helmet. He came into bat after the fall of Atharva Taide as India D found themselves in a bit of trouble.
Iyer fended off seven deliveries but failed to get off the mark. Khaleel Ahmed then induced a false shot from Iyer as the batter tried to hit the ball over the mid-on area. However, he mistimed the shot and only managed to find Aaqib Khan who took a simple catch to send Iyer on his way back for a duck.
