Former India cricketers Gautam Gambhir and Shikhar Dhawan recently participated in a funny exercise when they were asked to equate cricketers with Bollywood monikers like Shahenshah, Baadshah, Dabangg, etc.
In a funny video shot on the sidelines of the recent Delhi Premier League (DPL 2024), host Shefali Bagga is seen interviewing Gautam Gambhir, the current India head coach, and Shikhar Dhawan, former India opener.
She asked Gambhir and Dhawan to name a cricketer they would associate with the Bollywood monikers she was going to list.
The first question asked by Bagga was who is the Baadshah of Indian cricket. Shikhar Dhawan named Virat Kohli, while Gautam Gambhir chose Yuvraj Singh.
The second moniker was ‘Angry Young Man’ and Gautam Gambhir chose himself, much to the amusement of the host as well. Shikhar Dhawan, on the other hand, chose Mohammed Siraj, due to his fiery nature.
Next up was ‘Dabangg’ and Shikhar Dhawan chose Hardik Pandya, while Gautam Gambhir chose legend Sachin Tendulkar.
Bagga then asked Gautam Gambhir, who was the ‘Shahenshah’ of Indian cricket and he named Virat Kohli. Shikhar Dhawan dubbed Jasprit Bumrah as the Shahenshah.
Gambhir was then asked to name the 'Khiladi' of the Indian team and he named Jasprit Bumrah, while Shikhar Dhawan chose Shubman Gill. Sachin Tendulkar was called Mr. Perfectionist by Shikhar Dhawan, while Gambhir went for Rahul Dravid.
Gautam Gambhir then called Shikhar Dhawan a Gabbar. In the end, Bagga asked Shikhar Dhawan to name the ‘Tiger’ of Indian cricket and he chose Suryakumar Yadav. Gautam Gambhir chose Sourav Ganguly as the tiger of Indian cricket.
