WATCH- “Kisi tarashgir ke haath me dalo”- Yograj Singh says Arjun Tendulkar needs proper guidance to enhance his skills

Arjun Tendulkar has worked with Yograj Singh to hone his cricketing skills| XYograj Singh, former India cricketer and father of Yuvraj Singh, spoke on the cricketing abilities of legend Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun. Arjun Tendulkar has played age-group cricket for Mumbai and FC cricket for Goa.

He made his FC debut in style as the left-handed all-rounder slammed a century on his Ranji Trophy debut, emulating his father Sachin Tendulkar, who had done the same thing when he was 15 years old.

Arjun Tendulkar also spent time in the Mumbai Indians setup and played a total of 5 matches, picking up 3 wickets.

To better his cricketing skills, Arjun Tendulkar spent time with Yograj Singh as well. Yograj Singh is a well-known cricket coach, credited with honing the skills of his son Yuvraj Singh and molding him into a proper cricketer who went on to have a great career for India.

In a recent interview, when questioned about his experience training Arjun, Yograj's response sparked controversy.

The video of his statement went viral, in which he said: "Aapne heera dekha hai koyle ki khan mein? Wo koyla hi hai. [Have you seen a diamond in a coal mine? He is the coal]".

Yograj's harsh evaluation of Arjun's cricketing ability has sparked much discussion in the cricketing world and beyond. His analogy of Arjun to coal in a coal mine has elicited conflicting reactions, with some denouncing his harsh language and others defending his right to share his views based on his coaching experience.

"Nikalo patthar hi hai, kisi tarashgir ke haath me dalo to chamak ke duniya ko kohinoor ban jata hai (It is coal that is a rock when taken out from a mine, but if it is given in proper hands, it goes on to become Kohinoor. It is priceless. But if that same diamond reaches a person who does not know its worth, he destroys it.

I don't say it myself that Yograj Singh is a great crafter, Yuvraj Singh says, 'There is magic in my dad's hand, he made me what I am.' Earlier, I was abused 'Hitler, Dragon Singh, I hate my father'. Everybody hated me in my home. My relatives said, I should not have been a father," Yograj Singh replied.

"But he walked his path. And by God's Grace you got Yuvraj Singh," he said.

Here is the video:

Yuvraj, India's 2011 World Cup star, voiced concern about his father's different utterances, claiming that he has "mental issues" and refuses to accept them. Yuvraj made these remarks during a podcast, expressing his displeasure at his father's repeated tirades against MS Dhoni.

"I think my father has mental issues and he just doesn't want to accept it," Yuvraj had said in a podcast.
