WATCH- ‘Bangladesh said 'Ami Tomake Bhalobashi' and whitewashed you’- Ahmad Shahzad’s brutal dig at Pakistan team

Pakistan was whitewashed for the first time by Bangladesh in Test cricket.

Pakistan last won a Test at home in 2022 | GettyAhmad Shahzad, out of favor Pakistani batter, took a brutal dig at Shan Masood and co. after Bangladesh won the second Test in Rawalpindi and whitewashed Pakistan 2-0 for the first time in their history.

Bangladesh chased down 185 runs with 6 wickets in hand on the fifth day. This was after they were reduced to 26/6 in 1st innings in reply to Pakistan’s 274 runs. However, Litton Das’ amazing 138, along with Mehidy Hasan Miraz’s 78, took them to 262 runs.

Then Hasan Mahmud with a fifer and Nahid Rana with 4 wickets rattled the Pakistan batting to bowl them out for 172 runs in the second innings.

After the loss, Ahmad Shahzad mocked the national team players, claiming that Bangladesh had taught them "how to play Test cricket". Shahzad attacked Pakistan players in a video on X, claiming that Pakistan was inferior in all aspects.

"Pakistan have been whitewashed by Bangladesh in their backyard. Tumhe aata hi nahi hain, tumse hota hi nahi hai (You do not know how to do it. You cannot do it). What can I tell you? Bangladesh have completed their practice in Pakistan and the situation back home is also not that good for them. They lovingly told you 'Ami Tomake Bhalobashi' (I love you) and whitewashed you in the series," Shahzad said in a video posted on X.

"They played great cricket and dominated Pakistan throughout the series. Their bowling was brilliant and their batters showed amazing grit. They have taught Pakistan how Test cricket should be played. Their bowlers have taught you what disciplined bowling looks like. Pakistan kept complaining about the pitch but Bangladesh batters made the same surface look like a flat track," he added.

Shahzad went on to say that the victory would be a huge boost for Bangladesh fans amid their country's political problems, and he praised the Bangladesh cricket team for their outstanding performance.

"Considering the situation that Bangladesh is going through right now, this victory will be a huge motivating factor for Bangladesh fans who are huge fanatics of the game. Bangladesh players have done what they could in these tough times - both for their country as well as their supporters," he concluded.
