After featuring in the white-ball tour of Sri Lanka, India wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson is currently relishing his break from cricket
In a video doing rounds on social media, Samson was spotted playing football. Even though the court was designed for basketball, Samson and his friends enjoyed a game of soccer on a rainy day.
Sanju Samson was part of India's T20I squad for the three-match series against Sri Lanka in Pallekele last month. However, he could not make much impact in the series, registering two consecutive ducks in the games he played.
While Samson was part of India’s 2024 T20 World Cup-winning squad, he didn’t get any opportunity during the marquee event. The 29-year-old was also not considered for the ODI series against Sri Lanka despite hitting a century in his last 50-over appearance.
It remains to be seen if Samson gets picked for the home T20I series against Bangladesh, slated to get underway on October 6.
