Dinesh Karthik shows his humorous side after being mistaken for Bollywood actor Vikrant Massey

Karthik announced his retirement from Indian cricket in June this year.

Former Indian wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik gave another glimpse of his sharp wit on social media when a fan mistakenly identified him as Bollywood actor Vikrant Massey.

The fan congratulated the cricketer for his performance in the newly-released movie, "Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba". The romantic thriller, featuring Massey, premiered on Netflix on August 9.

In response, Karthik showed his humour side as he thanked the fan for his appreciation while also adding a laughing emoji.

Dinesh Karthik announced his retirement from Indian cricket in June this year. He is set to become the first Indian player to feature in the SA20 league next season.

Karthik will join Paarl Royals as an overseas player, marking a significant milestone in his illustrious career.

Moreover, Karthik has been roped in as the batting coach and mentor by the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) for the IPL 2025 season. This appointment comes after his pivotal role as a player for RCB in the last three seasons.
