R Ashwin, ace India spinner, led his team Dindigul Dragons to the TNPL 2024 title, defeating Lyca Kovai Kings in the final on Sunday. Ashwin played a captain’s knock in the final, hitting his 3rd straight half-century in the tournament.

Baba Indrajith (32) and Sarath Kumar (27*) then led the Dragons to an easy win in 18.2 overs as they won the final by 6 wickets and became the TNPL 2024 champions.
Ashwin hit a boundary and three sixes besides stitching a 65-run stand for the third wicket with Baba Indrajith (32 off 35 balls). Having scored 46 runs for the loss of two wickets in the powerplay, the Dindigul middle-order relied on the composed Ashwin to get the job done.
