India Champions side led by Yuvraj Singh defeated Pakistan Champions in the final of the World Championship of Legends (WCL 2024) on Saturday in Birmingham.
Pakistan scored 156/6 in their 20 overs after captain Younis Khan won the toss and decided to bat first. Anureet Singh led the Indian bowlers with 3/43 while seam-bowling all-rounder Irfan Pathan (1/12 in 3) and left-arm spinner Pawan Negi (1/24 in 4) had economical spells.
In response, India achieved the target with five deliveries to spare. Ambati Rayudu was the leading scorer with 50 off 30 balls, while Yusuf Pathan (30 off 16) and Gurkeerat Singh Mann (34 off 33) made significant contributions with the bat.
When Yusuf left, India still needed seven runs from the final ten balls. However, Irfan (5*) and Yuvraj (15*) held their nerves and sealed the deal. Irfan hit a boundary on the first ball of the last over to round off the match in style.
Amidst the celebrations, a video of the Indian champions players has gone viral which was made on the recent trending song “Tauba Tauba” from Bad Newwz movie.
The footage showcases captain Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh, and Suresh Raina engaging in a distinctive celebration as they groove to the popular track "Tauba Tauba."
Yuvraj shared a video on Instagram in which he and his teammates added a new twist to Vicky Kaushal's popular single, 'Tauba Tauba.' However, Yuvraj revealed that his strenuous cricketing routine over the last two weeks had taken a toll on his physique, leaving specific areas painful.
Yuvraj tagged Vicky Kaushal in his Instagram post and shared a video of their funny dance performance. The video's description showed Yuvraj's physical fatigue as a result of the tough cricket matches he has played over the last 15 days.
