BCCI secretary Jay Shah was found wanting as after greeting Virat Kohli on the stage during Team India’s felicitation ceremony at the Wankhede Stadium, he forgot to shake hands with a few other players.

The T20 World Cup-winning Indian team members were awarded an INR 125 Cr cheque by the BCCI during the ceremony held at the iconic Wankhede Stadium. The Indian contingent arrived at the venue after having an open bus parade from Marine Drive, which was attended by lakhs of Indian team fans.

Then the Indian team had a lap of honor on the ground to thank the fans in attendance as they had been waiting since 4 pm. After that, the team walked onto the stage to collect the cheque presented by the BCCI officials, and a moment involving board secretary Jay Shah went viral.

When Shah was shaking hands with all players one after another, he got so lost in the moment after shaking hands with Kohli, that he briefly forgot to shake hands of the other players. He missed shaking hands with Jasprit Bumrah and a few more before returning to shaking hands with other players.

The brief moment involving Shah and Kohli went viral on social media in no time.
