The T20 World Cup 2024 winners Team India received a grand welcome in Delhi after they reached their hotel. The Indian contingent was stuck in Barbados for a couple of days due to Hurricane Beryl and reached India on Thursday via a chartered flight arranged by BCCI.
After relaxing at the ITC Maurya Hotel in Delhi for some time, the Indian team led by Rohit Sharma made their way to PM Narendra Modi’s residence in Delhi at No. 7, Lok Kalyan Marg.
The Indian team players and staff donned a customized India jersey with 'Champions' written on it. PM Modi hosted the Indian team for breakfast and also listened to the experiences of the World Cup heroes in the USA and the Caribbean.
As per the India Today report, PM Modi urged the team to go on a title-winning spree, expressing confidence that the T20 World Cup triumph in Barbados will give them motivation to do well in future tournaments.
