Pakistan cricket team continues to draw criticism for its listless performance in the 2024 edition of the T20 World Cup, which was held in the West Indies and USA.

The Men in Green suffered a shocking first-round exit from the showpiece event. They paid the price for a Super Over defeat against debutants USA in their campaign opener, followed by a nervy six-run defeat at the hands of arch-rivals India.

In the wake of their T20 World Cup debacle, fans and many former cricketers called for wholesale changes in the Pakistan side.

Amid the severe scrutiny, the Pakistan players have started training for the upcoming cricket season. A video has emerged on social media, where a few Pakistan cricketers were seen performing fielding drills.

However, their effort was rather mocked by the netizens as they were doing catching practice on old mattresses. As a result, the PCB also came under the scanner for its poor infrastructure.

Here are the reactions:

After the T20 World Cup debacle, Pakistan head coach Gary Kirsten blasted the team saying that there is 'no unity' in the side and he has 'never seen such a situation' in his long coaching career.

“There’s no unity in Pakistan’s team. They call it a team, but it isn’t a team. They aren’t supporting each other; everyone is separated, left and right. I’ve worked with many teams, but I’ve never seen such a situation,” Kirsten was quoted as saying by Geo News.
