FIFA World Cup's official social media handle hyped up football fans by featuring Portugal football star Cristiano Ronaldo in a post linking him with Indian cricketing legend MS Dhoni using the popular "Thala for a reason" meme reference.
Ronaldo will feature in Portugal's UEFA Euro 2024 opener against Czechia on June 19 and FIFA is leaving no tables unturned to amp up the excitement amongst one of the most popular football players of all time.
The “Thala for a reason” meme also works as both Dhoni and Ronaldo share the same jersey number 7, which Ronaldo dons in both Al Nassr and Portugal, whereas Dhoni previously donned it for India and still does for CSK.
39-year-old Ronaldo has 130 goals in 207 international games for Portugal. Similarly, 42-year-old MS Dhoni was still the go-to guy and leader of the CSK team in the recent IPL 2024, despite relinquishing the captaincy.
