Ahead of the IPL 2024 season, Hardik Pandya completed a high-profile trade from Gujarat Titans (GT) to Mumbai Indians (MI) and replaced Rohit Sharma as the captain of the five title-winning franchise.
Under Hardik’s leadership, however, MI finished the season at the bottom of the points table and became the first team to be eliminated from the playoffs race.
Now, there's a rumour doing rounds on the internet about Hardik Pandya's personal life. The rumour claims that the all-rounder and his wife Natasa Stankovic have separated.
A Reddit post on the separation is drawing attention. A user on the social media platform posted that the couple are not posting each other on Instagram stories and also pointed out that Natasa changed her username from ‘Natasa Stankovic Pandya’ to ‘Natasa Stankovic’.
Furthermore, the user questioned Natasa’s absence from IPL 2024 matches and also mentioned that Hardik did not even post something on her birthday, which falls on March 4.
There were also unverified reports claiming Natasa was to acquire 70 per cent of Hardik’s property in the divorce settlement.
While the rumours are rife on social media, nothing official has been communicated from both Hardik or Natasa's side regarding the separation. Therefore, it remains nothing more than mere speculation at the moment.
Amidst all this, Natasa Stankovic on Saturday (May 25) posed for the paparazzi but when a reporter asked her to comment on the divorce rumours, she smiled and walked off with a “thank you”.
Hardik Pandya had a disappointing IPL 2024 campaign with both bat and ball, scoring just 216 runs in 14 matches at a strike rate of 143.05 without a half-century. While he managed to claim 11 wickets, it came an average of 35.18 and an economy rate of 10.75.
The all-rounder will now look to shine in the Indian jersey in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, slated to get underway on June 1.
