Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi was ridiculed on social media after he compared his teammate Mohammad Rizwan with inarguably the greatest batter ever to play cricket, Sir Don Bradman.

This came after Rizwan reached the milestone of 3000 runs in T20I cricket in the ongoing T20I series against New Zealand. Rizwan also became only the second batter from Pakistan to achieve this feat after captain Babar Azam.

Former T20I captain of the team, Shaheen Afridi took to social media to congratulate Mohammad Rizwan on his achievement. He called Rizwan the “Bradman of T20 cricket” and Pakistan’s “superman”.

Cheers to Muhammad Rizwan - the Bradman of T20 cricket and Pakistan's SuperMan for hitting 3,000 T20I runs! Your impact has transformed the game and silenced the skeptics. Keep soaring, champion! You're an inspiration to many," Shaheen Afridi had written on X.

Rizwan incidentally has the lowest strike rate among batters to have reached the feat of 3000 T20I runs - 127.42. This is marginally worse than his compatriot Babar Azam, who has the second-worst strike rate of 129.

Rizwan and Babar have both failed on big occasions for Pakistan. In the previous T20 World Cup held in Australia, top Pakistan stars failed with the bat in the final at Melbourne.

Shaheen Afridi got trolled brutally by netizens as they ridiculed him for comparing Rizwan with Bradman.
