Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group, has fulfilled his commitment by gifting a Mahindra Thar to Indian cricketer Sarfaraz Khan’s father, Naushad Khan, on Friday, March 22.
This gesture came after Mr. Mahindra pledged to gift a Thar to Naushad, recognizing his significant contributions to Sarfaraz's cricket journey. Naushad Khan's unwavering support and sacrifices played a key role in helping Sarfaraz achieve his dream of representing India in international cricket.
Moved by the touching story of Sarfaraz's father and his journey, Mahindra decided to present them with a Mahindra Thar.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared an emotional video on X when Sarfaraz made his Test debut against England last year.
This viral clip caught the attention of Anand Mahindra, and he promised to gift a Mahindra Thar to Sarfaraz’s father, Naushad.
On Friday, he finally fulfilled his promise, and even Sarfaraz shared a picture with their new beast.
In the picture, Sarfaraz can be seen posing with the Thar alongside his father Naushad, and his younger brother Musheer Khan, who recently made headlines with his stunning contribution to Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy 2024 triumph. The cricketer also thanked Mr. Mahindra for the gift.
