WATCH: Jofra Archer's vicious inswinger leaves batter bamboozled in County Championship

After a lengthy period of rehab, Archer recently made his return to the cricketing fray.

Jofra Archer's vicious inswinger | @CountyChamp/XPacer Jofra Archer, who played a key role in England’s World Cup triumph on home soil in 2019, has become injury-prone in the last couple of years. The right-arm quick has undergone several elbow operations while also suffering a stress fracture of the back.

Archer returned to international cricket in January last year after more than a year on the sidelines due to elbow and back issues. He played in the SA20 and then the ODI series in South Africa, before moving to India for the IPL 2023.

While playing the IPL for Mumbai Indians, however, Jofra Archer picked up a recurrence of a stress fracture to his right elbow, which forced him out of the home Ashes and the Cricket World Cup in India.

After a lengthy period of rehab, Archer recently made his return to the cricketing fray. He turned up to play in County Cricket's second division and impressed everyone with his bowling.

On Friday (March 1), the official 'X' handle of County Championship posted a video of Archer bowling a vicious inswinger, which left the batter bamboozled.

Jofra Archer will reportedly not feature in the 2024 edition of the IPL as the ECB is looking to manage his workload in the build-up to the upcoming T20 World Cup.

“ECB believes that it will be easier to manage Archer’s comeback if he is in the UK in April and May under its supervision than if he is in India on the books of an IPL team looking to get their money’s worth from him,” ESPNCricinfo had reported in December last year.
