WATCH- “Yaad rakhna, haarenge par…”- Encouraging words between Naman Tiwari and Murugan Abhishek in U19 WC final

The incident happened during India's chase in the final of U19 World Cup 2024.

M Abhishek and Naman Tiwari | XIndia lost the summit clash of the U19 World Cup 2024 to Australia in dominating fashion on February 11, 2024, in Benoni. Australia won the final by 79 runs and lifted their fourth U19 title.

Australia captain Hugh Weibgen won the toss and chose to bat first. Harjas Singh made 56, while Harry Dixon, Weibgen, and Oliver Peake made scores in the 40s, as Australia posted 253/7 in 50 overs. Raj Limbani took 3/38 and Naman Tiwari took two wickets.

In response, early wickets hurt India as only Adarsh Singh (47), Musheer Khan (22), Murugan Abhishek (42), and Naman Tiwari (14*) reached double figures. India could only make 174 in reply and lost the final.

Despite the loss, Indian colts fought hard, and in a viral clip, it can be seen that the youngsters were not giving up till the end. Murugan Abhishek and Naman Tiwari were making a rearguard stand and frustrating the Australian side.

During their partnership, the duo could be seen talking to each other extremely positively despite India staring at defeat. The conversation took place ahead of the fourth ball of the 38th over.

"Yaad rakhna, haarenge par seekh ke jayenge (Keep in mind. We will lose but still we will learn)," was the chat between Murugan and Naman caught by the stump mic.
