MS Dhoni is prepping for IPL 2024 where he will be leading Chennai Super Kings’ defense. Dhoni had been undergoing rehab for his knee surgery which happened right after the IPL 2023 win and the cricketer has since returned to nets.
Dhoni has been seen working hard in the gym to get back in match-fitness and was seen batting in the nets. Some eagle-eyed fans noticed something new on his bat, which was a sticker of Prime Sports.
It was later revealed that Prime Sports is a shop selling sporting good, owned by Dhoni’s childhood friend Paramjit Singh. As seen in Dhoni’s biopic, Paramjit had a big influence in Dhoni's early cricket career, which helped him shape his future.
Paramjit played a big role in helping Dhoni get his first bat sponsor. In the movie MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, his role in shaping Dhoni's career was highlighted too.
The shop is located in Ranchi and fans were emotional on seeing the legendary cricketer doing his bit to show gratitude to his friend for helping him when he needed it the most.
