Bumrah became the first Indian pacer to attain no.1 spot in ICC Test rankings | BCCIJasprit Bumrah has been a revelation ever since he made his return to the Indian team post his one-year break due to a back stress fracture injury. He returned as captain of the Indian team on Ireland T20Is last year.

Since then he has led the Indian pace attack in the Asia Cup 2023 and the World Cup 2023, along with the tour of South Africa, where he picked 12 wickets in two Tests. Currently, Bumrah is engaged in the five-Test series between India and England which is level at 1-1.

Bumrah has been the star with the ball for India, taking 6 wickets in the first Test in Hyderabad including a 4-fer. On the other hand, his 6/45 and a total of 9 wickets in the second Test in Vizag, helped India win by 106 runs.

Jasprit Bumrah was also named the Player of the Match for his brilliant bowling on a docile Vizag pitch on which spinners ruled the roost. With such amazing performances under his belt, Jasprit Bumrah also became the no.1 ranked Test bowler in the latest update of ICC rankings.

Bumrah is the first Indian fast bowler to attain no.1 spot in Test bowling rankings and also the first Indian pacer to attain no.1 spot in all three formats.

Reacting to his achievement, Jasprit Bumrah had a stinging message for his trolls in the form of a story on Instagram. He shared a meme which had two images comparing the support he got, with the applause he is getting now.
