Former India opener Virender Sehwag and former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar were recently involved in a hilarious banter, as they were teasing each other over the long run-up of the Rawalpindi Express during his playing days.
Notably, Sehwag and Akhtar are both currently part of the commentary panel for the ongoing ILT20 2024 in the UAE, where they are enjoying each other's company.
Actually, Akhtar shared a video of him talking with Sehwag on the social media platform ‘X’, where he can be seen saying that the Indian batter felt his long run-up was a big distraction for him.

Sharing the amusing clip on X, Shoaib Akhtar captioned the post by saying: “Hamaray pyaray Viru bhai @virendersehwag yeh batatay huye k mera lamba run up unko kitna intezar kerwata tha. And he feels it was a big distraction.”
Sehwag said during their conversation, “I would keep looking down, knowing that it would take 10-15 seconds for him to finish his run-up.”
Then, Akhtar asked Sehwag if his long run-up distracted him. To which Indian legend replied, “A lot of thoughts would run in mind. Will he hit my toes or a beamer on my head? He will hit somewhere.”
