India head coach Rahul Dravid's son Samit Dravid exhibited his bowling skills during the U-19 Cooch Behar Trophy final while playing for Karnataka against Mumbai.
After Karnataka won the toss and opted to bowl first, Samit rolled his arms over and returned with an impressive spell of 19 overs, picking up two crucial scalps. Ayush Sachin Vartak (73 runs) and Prateek Yadav (30 runs) were his victims.
Samit also bowled a couple of maiden overs in his spell and gave away 60 runs. Mumbai were eventually bundled out for 380 runs.
A little clip of Samit Dravid bowling at full throttle went viral on social media, receiving praise from all corners.
Last month, Rahul Dravid and his wife Vijeta were spotted during their son Samit's Cooch Behar Trophy match against Uttarakhand at Mysuru's SDNRW Ground.
Dravid was on leave from national duty at the time and took advantage of the opportunity to watch his son play.
Speaking on JioCinema, Dravid recently shared thoughts on coaching his son Samit.
“I don’t coach my son Samit as it is difficult to play two roles (parent and coach). I am happy to be a father. I don’t know what I am doing in that role also,” the India head coach said.
