Ranji Trophy 2024: WATCH- Bhuvneshwar Kumar picks fifer against Bengal after Uttar Pradesh shot out for 60

The match is being played at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar | BCCI XUttar Pradesh and Bengal are clashing in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024 match at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. The match began on January 12, 2024.

Bengal captain Manoj Tiwary won the toss and chose to bowl first in bowler-friendly conditions. And his bowlers lived up to the task. Uttar Pradesh was shot out for just 60 runs with Samarth Singh (13), Aryan Juyal (11), and captain Nitish Rana (11) being the only ones getting into double figures.

Pacer Mohammad Kaif took 4/14, while Suraj Jaiswal took three wickets and Ishan Porel took two.

In response, Bengal batters fared a bit well, ending the day on 95/5. Shreyansh Ghosh remained unbeaten on 37, while Sourav Paul made 13 runs. But it was veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar who wreaked havoc in Bengal's batting lineup.  

Using the conditions to his advantage, Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked all five Bengal wickets to fall, ending with figures of 5/25 in 13 overs. Bengal finished day one on 95/5
