MS Dhoni may have retired from international cricket in 2020, but his popularity hasn’t dipped a bit. The former India skipper now only plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the fans are eagerly waiting for his return to the field.

Next year, CSK would be hoping for a record sixth IPL title with Dhoni probably leading the franchise for the one last time.

Ahead of the New Year, images have surfaced on social media where Dhoni can be seen with wife Sakshi and others. They were also accompanied by Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon and her sister Nupur Sanon.

Moreover, there’s another photo of Dhoni with Big Boss fame Abdu Rozik and Rishabh Pant is breaking the internet.

During the IPL 2023 campaign, MS Dhoni struggled right through the tournament with a knee injury and speculations were rife that it could well be his last season.

However, Dhoni vowed to return in 2024 fitness-permitting after lifting the coveted trophy. In fact, he underwent surgery to treat his troubling knee soon after the triumphant campaign.

Recently, CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan had provided an update on Dhoni’s recovery.

“He has recovered well (from his knee injury). He is undergoing his rehab programmes, started training,” Viswanathan told ANI.

“By the time the next IPL starts, I am sure he will be fit to play,” he added, much to the delight of Dhoni’s millions of fans.
